typically, it takes me a whole week to compose two blog posts.
typically, every morning, i write and jot things down for those two posts.
typically i never post a blog on a saturday.
typically we don’t get a blizzard in april.
this snowpocalypse inspired me to create some doodles
it also inspired me to eat my body weight in m&m’s and dots last night while we watched the movie Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle.
what a darling movie. i highly recommend watching it if you haven’t seen it.
typically, i’m not a big fan of the Rock.
but he did great in this movie.
actually, they all did.
Jumanji also inspired a morning doodle sesh.
typically on a saturday morning, my husband and i would be eating breakfast at Josiah’s or Queen City Bakery.
typically on a saturday morning and mid april, we would be golfing.
and typically, my grocery store shelves don’t look this empty.guess everyone and their brother thought chili was a typical meal on a blizzardy weekend.
typically, i would make chili.
but instead i made crepes.
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup kodiak mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp almond extract (you can also use vanilla)
toppings: greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, whip cream, honey, chocolate chips, bananas
mix everything together. heat a skillet over med-low heat and melt some coconut oil. scoop about 1/4 cup of batter into skillet and swirl around to fill skillet. you want the crepe to be thin. give it a good 2 min to cook. it’s harder to flip it if it hasn’t cooked through. when it’s ready, flip it and cook about 1 more min. scoop some yogurt and roll up. top with fruit.
Stay warm and safe my friends.
it’s just another opportunity to eat candy.
snuggle by the fire.
and wear this snuggly scarf from Rejoicing Day. one of my faves. (it’s soooooo fluffy)
