it has been a week.
nothing awful, just an emotionally draining few days.
things here and there.
my brain feels like mush.
i’ve skipped my workouts.
i haven’t eaten the best.
there was a private Facebook thread started by ex-art moms boutique vendors that i caught wind of.
which quite honestly breaks my heart.
i know we will never be able to please everyone (in a perfect world, we would.)
and i also know people will disagree with how we do things.
that’s okay.
that’s perfectly okay.
it inspired me to draft up a post for next week titled “i’m sorry people are so mean.”
it’s an anti-bullying post- for adults.
i’ve gone back and forth on continuing to develop it.
i’ve decided not to proceed.
it’s something that i really don’t care to give much energy to.
adults can be bullies also.
in my industry, you need thick skin.
unfortunately, i have a very sensitive heart.
rise above.
and use it towards the greater good.
this crown saying was a request from a customer. when she posted the saying, it brought tears to my eyes. it’s funny how life gives you little gifts at just the right time.
it didn’t make the chopping block for new prints this week only because i’m not satisfied with the design. hopefully someday it will make the cut because it’s fabulous.
one night this week, i went to bed and turned to my husband and said, “tomorrow, i’m just going to lay in bed all day and watch movies and wallow.”
the only thing he said was, “i know you, there’s no way you’ll do that.”
he was right.
he knows me best.
i have so many exciting projects in the hatch.
i’m exploding with excitement.
slow and steady.
all in good time.
my goal was to design 3 new prints this week.
i picked up 9 yesterday at the printer.
go big or go home.
today is pay it forward today.
i can get on board with that.
i love giving. i love giveaways. i love our Art Moms customers.
i’m like a broken record.
but it deserves repeating.
our fan base is like a big soft pillow to land on during crappy days.
you fill us with kind words. support for new projects. amazing feedback.
the list goes on and on.
you are all our biggest cheerleaders.
hop on over to our Facebook page here.
the Pay it Forward giveaway will go live at noon.
there will be 5 winners.
our new prints drop live tonight at 6. there are limited quantities of each so be there, or be square.
i’ll leave you with this.
my husband stopped our daughter in the hallway the other day and put his hands on her shoulders.
he looked down at her and said “i’m so very proud of you.”
she giggled.
and he said to her, “no, seriously, look at me. i am so proud of you gracie.”
i told him to never stop telling her that.
we all need to be cheered on.
even me. at 41.
the cherries in my manhatten sure tried.
go pay it forward today. smile at strangers. hold open doors. tell someone you are proud of them. walk your dog or scratch your cat (pets need kindness too). help a teacher. help a coworker. help a child. help an adult. donate. send a text to a friend or family member you haven’t talked to in awhile. most of all, be good to one another.
