There is no Corporation here…sorry!

new greeting cards 002

We are putting in 16 hour days and absolutely thriving on last minute details.  It’s so funny how mom and I both work better like this. Today we are setting up for the Brookings Art Festival and will open tomorrow at 9 a.m. bright eyed and bushy tailed. Just a reminder, we are not inside the park in Brookings this year (nor were we last year) In response to an email asking why we didn’t get accepted~ they replied The problem is that not one artist creates all that you sell. You are a “company”..not an individual artist”

It’s funny I should post this because people ask us all the time “Are you the artists” Why YES, YES we are! Proud and true. We both color full time for a living and we both go a little crazy a few days leading up to an art show. Rest assured, every item you buy will be hand drawn, hand painted and done by either mom or me. We put every single frame together, paint them, write and dot every word, draw and paint every design, put on every ribbon and hanger, and put on every plastic sleeve. Amazing huh? But you know what’s crazy! We love it! She works at her house (well, lately she’s been working in Okoboji), I work at mine and we combine our product for art shows…Our tags are marked with 2 numbers so we can tell them apart and we also have a trademark secret. Are you ready for it? She does 3 fingers on her people, I do 4. Mention this in Brookings and get 10% off your purchase. (Only good the Weekend of July 10-11th)
