i have to make this quick because i’m headed out the door in less than 1 hour…..
first recipe
Special K bars
- 1 cup white corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 T butter
- 1 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 8 cups special K cereal
- 1 bag butterscotch chips
- 1 bag chocolate chips
Combine syrup, sugar and butter in saucepan…boil 1 min. ~remove from heat and add peanut butter and salt….place cereal in cake pan and pour peanut butter mixture over cereal…mixing to combine and pressing into the pan….Melt chips on low heat and spread over peanut butter cereal mixture

Strawberry Lemonade Layer Cake
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 3oz pkg strawberry jello
- 1 cup mashed strawberries…i cut mine into small pieces and microwaved for 3o min. to soften
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup 7 up
- 3 egg whites
mix all together and pour into 2 round 9 inch cake pans and cook at 350 for 25-30 or until toothpick comes out clean….allow to dry completely before removing from pan and putting on frosting
for the lemon cream cheese frosting…i used this recipe from my rainbow layer cake
- 1 carton cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups powdered sugar
blend all together with a mixer until smooth and then put a light layer of frosting on each layer of cake….almost like the glue that holds the layers together
