~acrylic thoughts, creative coma, sinus infections, bbq chicken quesadillas, a new purse and a request for prayers

whoooo…whatta week…see, i told you i wouldn’t be posting much! it’s been crazy….but good crazy! we’ve been doing a ton of painting….new stuff….because we are a little bored….don’t worry….our little kids are still sticking around…we just have to let our paintbrushes swirl our creative madness from our minds to our palettes

we have just been doodling

and designing

and brainstorming

and painting

and creating

and coloring

and scribbling

it has been so fun…..so many ideas running through our hearts! i know when the brainstorm hits with a vengeance, we must work thru our hunger, tiredness, messes, t.v. shows, interruptions as fast as we can….because within a blink of an eye and a snap of the finger…they leave us as quick as they come to us…..so within my paint induced trance….i had a little visitor visit me….it’s called a sinus infection…..sNOT fun~

my meal plan this menu took a back seat to my creative coma…

• Sunday- Subway
• Monday -Hu Hot
• Tuesday -Johnsonville Brats
• Wednesday- Strawberry Pancakes (click for my pancake recipe)
• Thursday -BBQ Chicken Quesadillas (shared below)
• Tonight - Johnsonville Brats (Jerime just called…he’s bringing home Domino’s Pizza…..see…this is the way our meal planning rolls

I have to share the quesadilla recipe with you though because it was so good….and so easy! Once again, I borrowed it from Iowa Girl Eats….thanks Kristin!

• shredded chicken
• bbq sauce ~we used Cookies BBQ for Grace and Famous Daves Apricot Bourbon for us
• caramelized onions (recipe here)
• shredded cheese
• cilantro
• tortillas

steam and shred your chicken, add bbq sauce….either use a quesadilla maker or a pan on the stove….place a tortilla on the bottom, spoon chicken over tortiall, add carmalized onions (the best part) sprinkle with cheese and cilantro, place a tortilla over top and cook…..serve with sour cream and black olives or whatever topping you desire….SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE…the best meal when i’m absorbed in acrylic thoughts

my little goofball…she could spot a starbucks at about 6 months old….i brought her up right!

and i went back and forth on whether or not to post this picture…but once again, i made a promise to myself to open myself up fully…… we would take all the prayers in the world….because we are seriously craving another her~
