How fun! Today after school, Gracie and I spent 2 hours making necklaces….i enjoyed being creative without my paintbrush and i really enjoyed watching Gracie use her imagination making necklaces for all her friends and family…there’s even one she made for her 1st grade teacher…there’s not enough clay in the world to make one for everyone she cares about…such a caring little girl! All you need is 3 supplies, an oven and creativity!
you need clay, (which is on sale right now at Hobby Lobby for $1.27 a package…can’t beat that), string to hang your necklaces with, and jump rings (these can be found in the jewelry aisle
Before we get started though, we needed an afterschool snack….
open each package of clay and start rollin’…they are super hard at first but will loosen up after awhile…form into shapes…don’t forget to attach jump ring…this is what you’ll attach string too after they are done cooking
once all your shapes are made, place them on a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil and place in over at 265 degrees for 30 min
let cool and string into necklaces….such a fun thing to do together!

Love this fun idea! And the fact that the clay is on “sale” this week makes me want to run to Hobby Lobby!
Thanks for sharing your fun idea! I will most likely have to post this on my blog later when the kids are in bed. Fun, fun, fun!
