I don’t know about you…but my hair is sooooo dry! ~and secretly…ever since i was a little girl, i’ve loved homeade masks, conditioners, face scrubs etc~ Well here’s one that I thought i’d try:
Banana mask: Blend one banana, one egg, three tablespoons honey, three tablespoons milk, and five tablespoons olive oil. Spread the mixture through your hair and leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes (i left mine on for 30) here’s what it looks like mixed up:
and here’s what it looks like in my hair (all jokes aside, i’m not feeling to sexy here…so please keep your comments to a bare minimum) and i had to put plastic wrap over top because seriously…i was dropping banana chunks everywhere…and that’s one thing my dogs won’t eat is bananas…maybe next time i’ll try hot dogs!
Enjoy the pictures of my new friends 1. Banana and 2. Chunk…..(although, now that i look at it, i think it’s the same chunk)
My opinion and comments
I just finished washing, and it doesn’t feel as soft as i was hoping…plus i think i still have thousands of banana chunks still in my hair (not kidding) So upon my review….I don’t think I’d do this one again and on a side note….~I’m sure banana chunks will be falling out of my hair thruout the day…maybe even thruout the week…so if you see a cute little monkey climbing up my hair to get a bunch of bananas….please let me know!
15 minutes later…..just got done combing out my hair…not soft at all….plus I think i could make a loaf of banana bread just from the chunks of bananas that are on the comb….yuck!
Do you have a more successful home remedy you’d like to share?

Sorry, but gotta do a “TeeHeeHee”
Have you ever tried mayonaise? Beer? Vinegar? Personally beer is the best, makes for a fun shower with a friend!!
OK…..I don’t understand this because today I wanted you to make banana foster AGAIN because it was yummy. You said we couldn’t because we were out of banana’s. I think using the rest of the banana’s in your hair was a better idea than having a yummy banana foster.
Found your blog post through Delicious. You already know I am subscribing to your rss.
The one I use and like is:
1 Egg Yolk
1/2 C Honey
2 T Olive Oil
2 sm Avocados
Mix all and apply, leave on until stiffens, about an hour depending on your hair length and thickness. Shampoo and condition as usual
I loved it!
