- my freshly painted pink door.
tutorial with Stella DIY furniture paint coming soon.
- chicago cubs baseball started this week.
with this year’s lineup, i’m hoping we make it all the way again. we’ve picked up a few big starters…insert Tyler Chatwood and Yu Darvish. People are even projecting that Cubs have the strongest starting rotation for the 2018 season. i can’t help but still worry about our bullpen. and have you seen Schwarbs (Kyle Schwarber)???? talk about beefcake. he spent the offseason bulking up. give that man a bro-tine shake. i do have some Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins baseball canvases available here. here. and here.
- 5 day spring/easter break with grace.
i will never be the mom that curses summers, snow days and long weekend vacations. i can’t get enough of her. i love everything about her and i promise to always soak up every second. we have a date to create together this week. last night she asked if we could go buy a sketch book and colored pencils. ummmm, yes please.
my current binge watch with grace. i’ll admit it, i love young adult books, movies and tv shows. i can hear someone shout in the distance “oh yeah, so does my 12 year old.” guilty. and proud. vampire diaries, the originals, hunger games, divergent, twilight, tyrlle trilogy. one reason i think i love all of these is the commonality of a strong kick ass female lead. and while we are on the subject, i still purchase seventeen magazine once in awhile. no shame.
- these two kindle books. here. and here.
speaking of reading. i recently read these two books. so good. i can’t get enough of holocaust/world war two books. i’ve read them since i was a young.
- this saying.
so good. so true. i am so lucky to have some strong and supportive women in my life. don’t get me wrong, i have had some real doozies in the past. you just have to shake ‘em off. there is no love in treating people badly. makes no sense to me.
- art moms weekly printable.
this was my first run at printables. i’m hoping it won’t be my last. there were a lot of technical difficulties with this one and it still isn’t 100% where i’d like it. but it’s a start and i hate giving up. onward and upward. did you print yours this morning? find and print yours here.
- this eyebrow palette.
two years ago, i was in the green room at the Washington Pavillion, getting ready to take the stage for my Expressing Motherhood gig and one of the other female leads colored in my eyebrows. it was like my fashion hallelujah moment. what an amazing improvement. total game changer. one of the best pieces of advice i can give…”your eyebrows are sisters, not twins.” i like that, a lot. filling in my eyebrows has became my MVP of makeup. like grace would say “dem eyebrows doh.”
- pizza rev.
every tuesday. it’s one of our favorites. and i love having a night off from dinner and dishes. want to know an inside story? they know gracie and me by name. well, what about jerime you ask? well, he never gives his real name. so when they call out his name for his pizza, it’s always something different. our favorites so far have been “Coach Rick, Sassy Debbie, Aunt Linda, and Pastor Steve.”
